A. vulgare are also called roly-poly bugs or pill bugs.  They are good in bioactive vivariums.  They help control mold in the vivarium, and the juveniles are also an additional food source for the reptile or amphibian inhabitants.  They are hardy and reproduce quickly.  They eat leaf litter, fish flakes, zucchini, and squash.
